About us

Leckhampton Court is a Sue Ryder Hospice and is the only specialist palliative care inpatient unit in Gloucestershire. We support patients with life-limiting conditions to live the fullest life they can. The successful candidate will join our team of dynamic, friendly and supportive specialists in the field of palliative care.


About the role


The hospice has undergone a period of service development, and we are now looking for a Physiotherapist to meet the needs of our patients. The role will primarily cover our 16 bedded inpatient unit but will also occasionally support colleagues working in our Community Hub and in patients’ homes.


About you

We are looking for a qualified Physiotherapist who is passionate about helping people to improve their quality of life, and to be as independent as possible.


This role will suit an experienced practitioner with a broad knowledge base and experience of working in a wide variety of clinical fields who wishes to specialise in the field of palliative medicine.


The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge of palliative care interventions, strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a close multidisciplinary team.

Minimum Essential Criteria:

HCPC registration and clinical experience in rehabilitation or palliative care
Ability to tailor therapy interventions to individual needs and capabilities
Clear communication and documentation skills
Knowledge of accessibility, safe handling, and mobility aids

Desirable Criteria:

Experience with lymphoedema or malignant disease
Manual handling trainer qualification
