As part of our payroll team, you will help to process Sue Ryder payroll accurately and timely within legislative, statutory and company policies and procedures. The role reports to the Head of Finance working closely with key internal and external contacts including HMRC, DWP and pension providers.
About You
You will have previous experience of working with payroll processes and an understanding of payroll terminology, with knowledge of payroll and pension legislation. You will have excellent accuracy and attention to detail with good IT skills including Microsoft excel. You will have good communication and organisational skills, and the ability to manage and prioritise deadlines
Key Responsibilities:
Working closely with the external payroll Management Consultancy to:
• Receive payroll data, check for compliance, input onto payroll system within set deadlines
• Check and audit pay information actioned by People Helpline and Recruitment
• Reconcile payroll output, check for errors within set deadlines and inform local payroll administrators
• Run payroll reports, send queries to local payroll administrators
• Make necessary changes received from local payroll administrators
• Produce and distribute P45s and P60s as and when required and deal with staff/manager pay issues
• Collate and agree payment information for DWP/Local authorities and deal with any written requests for information from Government agencies/banks/ letting agencies etc
