The role
The Senior Individual Giving Manager will lead an engaged and committed individual giving team. You will be tasked with overseeing the development and delivery of a modern and robust individual giving strategy. Acting as a leading fundraising voice in Sue Ryder and striking a healthy balance between risk and return on investment in new fundraising endeavours.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and manage strategies to maximise long and short term income from existing individual supporters using the principles of audience segmentation and stewardship so that an ever improving supporter experience for individual givers
• To develop and articulate strategies to senior leadership within fundraising for attracting new individual givers to Sue Ryder
• To take lead responsibility and empower the team to create and deliver supporter journeys which increase level of participation, engagement and financial value
• To take lead responsibility for creating, monitoring and managing business plans and budgets for the Individual Giving and Legacy marketing department
• To keep abreast of industry-wide direct and legacy marketing developments and technological innovations and those beyond the charity sector with a view to introducing them to Sue Ryder where this would add future value
You will need:
• An entrepreneurial, ambitious and relational fundraiser
• Strong experience of managing income and expenditure budgets and be adept at forecasting across individual giving channels
• Someone good with data but also able to think laterally using insight and good professional instincts
• Line management experience within the fundraising sector is strongly desired
• Ability to articulate fun and exciting new fundraising opportunities to a dedicated base of supporters.
