About us
At the Sue Ryder Duchess of Kent Hospice in Reading, and through our Day Services in Newbury and Wokingham, we look after people living with life-limiting conditions, and offer support, expert care, and advice across Berkshire.
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a new Ward Manager to lead the team of 50 staff for the 15 bed In-patient unit in Reading. As the clinical nurse leader, working closely with the multi-professional team, there is great scope to ensure we provide the highest quality of care for people using our services.
About you
As a kind, compassionate and highly motivated professional, you will lead, develop and support the team. We are looking for someone who has palliative care experience, can demonstrate excellent communication skills, support and motivate teams through change and ensure evidence based practice.
Ideally you will have a minimum of 5 years experience as a registered nurse, team management and specialist palliative care experience, preferably holding a palliative care qualification (or working towards).
