Sue Ryder The Chantry are looking to appoint an assistant Practitioner for their stunningly situated Neurological Care Centre in Ipswich Suffolk.

The main purpose of the role will be to support the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of high standards of personalised nursing care. Under the direction of the registered nurse you will provide best possible quality care and support to service users and their carers/family.
You will have:
• NVQ / QCF 3 in health and social care
• Assistant practitioner foundation degree or equivalent ( or willing to work towards)
• knowledge of neurological conditions and management
• Experience of working within a clinical setting¬¬¬¬¬
• Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Excellent interpersonal skills¬
• Experience in using Microsoft office programmes such as Word, excel and email
• An ability to respond to people in distress
• Some knowledge of neurological conditions and their management
• Willing and able to have a flexible approach to working patterns
The Assistant Practitioner will undertake a wide range of clinical skills and will work under the direction, but independently of a registered nurse within their own limitations their competency framework and agreed protocols. You will also be responsible for the supervision of band 2 staff.
