We have an exciting career opportunity for a Marketing Manager (Healthcare), to join our expert Marcomms team.
This key role will provide marketing recommendations for internal clients with a range of healthcare or bereavement marketing needs, whilst managing healthcare and bereavement marketing campaigns and activity from briefing to final delivery and evaluation.
You will position Sue Ryder as a specialist and expert end-of-life care and bereavement support provider, through tactical and strategic marketing communications and ensure end-of-life care and bereavement marketing messaging is consistent and on brand across all marketing and communications activity.

The Marketing Manager for Healthcare reports into the Senior Marketing Manager for Brand and Healthcare and works alongside two other Marketing Managers to:
• develop, deliver and evaluate multi-channel campaigns ensuring objectives are met and integration opportunities are maximised across the charity
• work closely with colleagues in healthcare teams to identify marketing opportunities and needs that help them to achieve the Sue Ryder vision and strategy. This could include planning and delivering both B2B and B2C marketing plans for Sue Ryder’s end of life and bereavement services as well as healthcare staff recruitment and retention
• ensure all healthcare literature is in stock, on brand and updated in terms of accuracy, consent, permissions and legal requirements
• provide marketing guidance and expertise to a range of internal stakeholders with varying healthcare marketing needs
• ensure brand and health marketing messaging remains consistent and on brand across all activity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with in-house and external designers to deliver marketing activities and campaigns
• Brief, plan, develop and deliver plans and campaigns for Sue Ryder's end-of-life and bereavement services, and for healthcare staff recruitment
• Lead cross- team project working groups to mobilise and motivate all corners of the organisation to maximise campaign moments
• Provide marketing support to Healthcare initiatives as needed
• Work with colleagues to continually review, improve and embed Marcomms planning and briefing processes
• Advise teams and help them to develop their understanding of which marketing tools are the most appropriate to help achieve their objectives
• Build strong, internal relationships with stakeholders across Sue Ryder to ensure marketing activity is considered well in advance, as part of an integrated communications plan, and to ensure the marketing team’s and wider department processes and delivery timelines are understood
• Ensure all healthcare literature is in stock, on brand and updated in terms of content, consent, permissions and legal requirements. Develop new healthcare information.
• Act as a brand motivator and guardian, ensuring effective messaging and activities are integrated across all communications.
About you:
Essential
• Knowledge and understanding of principles and best practice in integrated marketing communications, design and copywriting
• Planning, delivering and evaluating multi-channel Healthcare, B2B or B2C marketing campaigns and projects on time and on budget
• Excellent copy writing and copy-editing skills
• Managing and motivating agencies to drive maximum value for campaign delivery and results
• Working closely with internal colleagues within other marketing and communications disciplines such as PR and digital to ensure integrated working
• Working with creatives and designers to produce engaging and impactful marketing materials
• Keen attention to detail, a creative approach and strong presentation skills
• Ambitious, and able to work at pace with the ability to proactively overcome problems
• Formidable project management skills.
• Stakeholder engagement and management experience, with a particular emphasis on working with healthcare professionals to develop and interrogate marketing briefs.
Desirable
• Relevant experience working in a charity or agency environment
• Experience of a matrix reporting structure
• An understanding of the commissioning structure of the NHS and a willingness to stay up to date on developments within the health sector
