£18576, - £21,450 Pro rata, per annum plus enhancements (30% weekends, 60% Bank Holidays)

Sue Ryder Wheatfields Hospice is in Headingley, Leeds. We provide expert palliative care. We support people living with a life-limiting condition and help their loved ones and family members when it matters most.
About the Role:
As Ward Clerk at Wheatfields Hospice, you will work with the Multidisciplinary Team on the Inpatient Unit to facilitate safe and effective admission and discharge of patients. You will coordinate and arrange admissions and support the team to facilitate the discharge of patients. Our aim is to ensure that our patients and families receive high quality, holistic and personalised care throughout their admission and on discharge.
About you:
As well as knowledge of a medical records system (preferably SystmOne), you will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft office applications. With your administration experience you will be able to prioritise your workload, use your own initiative, and know when to seek advice. With these and your excellent interpersonal skills you will be a great asset to our team.
Other responsibilities include:
• Support the team and ultimately take responsibility for the accurate completion of records on systmOne.
• Provide full administrative support to the ward medical team with regards to all patient and professional correspondence.
• Take minutes of ward meetings
• Provide full support to the ward manager/nurse in charge for maintaining rotas and other required processes to ensure the smooth running of the ward
• Manage the effective ordering and rotation of clinical supplies
