About us
Leckhampton Court Hospice is the only specialist palliative care unit in Gloucestershire, delivering expert care across inpatient and community settings. Our Hospice at Home team brings the skills, compassion and ethos of hospice care directly to patients and families—supporting them to live well, and die well, at home.
About the role
We’re looking for a passionate and experienced nurse to join our Hospice at Home service.
You’ll:
• Deliver high-quality palliative and end-of-life care in patients’ homes
• Support people to remain where they feel most comfortable—at home
• Work across Cheltenham, Gloucester and Tewkesbury
• Assess, plan and deliver person-centred, evidence-based care
• Provide education, mentorship and clinical leadership

About you
You’re a confident, compassionate nurse who leads by example.
You will bring:
• The ability to work independently in complex, fast-changing environments
• A commitment to delivering outstanding patient and family-centred care
• Excellent communication and decision-making skills
Minimum Essential Criteria
(Disabled applicants who meet these criteria will be guaranteed an interview)
• Registered General Nurse with active registration (Nursing and Midwifery Council)
• Post-registration experience in a healthcare setting
• Experience of working in community or clinical environments
• Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage workload and prioritise in a dynamic environment
• Basic IT skills and ability to maintain accurate clinical records
• Willingness to travel across the community (driving licence/access to transport required)
Desirable Criteria
• Experience in specialist palliative or end-of-life care
• Experience in community nursing
• Mentorship or teaching experience
• Knowledge of current healthcare legislation and best practice
