Are you passionate about digital marketing and communications? Are you interested in a pivotal role to oversee the growth of the charity’s email campaigns and drive fundraising income? Apply to join the digital team as Email Marketing Manager and help to enable the charity to showcase its vital palliative, neurological and bereavement support.
The role
Reporting to the Senior Digital Manager, you will be overseeing the growth and strategic management of Sue Ryder’s email campaigns, working closely with the marketing and fundraising teams. This position acts as the first point of contact for all organisational queries on email marketing policies and techniques, and leads the overall strategy.
Key responsibilities
. Develop and embed an email strategy to pull together the various priorities and current streams of work across the marketing and fundraising teams.
. Devise new ways of working to streamline and improve email production and scheduling, working particularly with our public fundraising teams and ecommerce teams.
. Ensure that our email campaigns are produced to the highest standards, drive income to meet agreed targets, and support relevant campaigns and strategies across marketing, fundraising and retail.
. Design, implement and manage ongoing reporting processes to help us continually evaluate our approach to email, ensuring that this insight informs future strategy and direction.

About you
An excellent digital copywriter with attention to detail and intermediate level Photoshop or other creative design skills, you will have demonstrable experience developing, implementing and optimising organisational email strategies.

You will need strong experience of writing and building responsive end-to-end email campaigns, preferably in Mailchimp, with excellent knowledge of automated journey technology including, but not limited to: personalisation, HTML and running AB tests. Experience in designing reports to gain insights from campaigns is essential, alongside significant knowledge of Google Analytics to optimise and influence future campaigns.
Alongside excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will be able to work efficiently across multi-disciplinary teams to prioritise tasks and campaigns, and have the enthusiasm and passion to succeed in this role.
