Hours: 7.5 hours per week over 7 days
Salary: £12.79 per hour

Every sale in our 400+ shops helps fund specialist palliative and end-of-life care. For over 70 years, we’ve supported people when it matters most — and we’re looking for a Shop Supervisor to help us continue that work.
You’ll support your manager and team, inspire your community and help drive income for our vital services, while championing creative ways to reduce, reuse and recycle.
We value our people and offer a great work-life balance: 1 in 2 weekends, shifts from 8.45am, most shops finishing by 5.15pm, and Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day off.

You’ll be responsible for…
• As Shop Supervisor you will be using your skills and retail experience to help drive sales, income and performance against targets.
• Support and motivate the team to provide excellent service to customers and donors.
• Building strong community relationships to generate quality donated stock.
• Help Recruit, train and retain a committed volunteer team.
• Support in maintaining high standards of merchandising, housekeeping and health & safety.
• Support in managing stock and EPOS processes to keep the shop fresh, seasonal and well presented.
• Championing the Sue Ryder brand, in-store campaigns and national fundraising initiatives.

"Our Sue Ryder 'Home & Garden' charity shop in Swaffham has a large and varied range of homewares.
The shop is bright and welcoming with lots of different departments including linens, bric a brac, small furniture, electricals and a range of Sue Ryder new goods.
We have a seasonal garden department and a huge seasonal Christmas department.
The shop is situated in the Market Place just along from Boots - come and meet our friendly team who will be happy to help you find whatever you are looking for!"
Minimum Essential Criteria
• Customer Service Experience
• Previous supervisory Experience
• Cash Handling/Till work
• Basic IT skills (emails/instant messaging/video calls)
• Organisational Skills
• Lone working experience
Desirable Criteria
• High street retail/leisure/hospitality background
• KPI and target experience
• Charity retail
• Health & Safety knowledge
• Team Player
• Key holder/opening/closing
• Merchandising/Stock rotation
