About us

Duchess of Kent is a Sue Ryder Hospice based in Reading .We provides expert palliative and end of life care, in a beautiful setting, for thousands of local people each year. We are part of a large charity but have a close relationship within the local community and offer a large range of specialist services to support patients, their families and friends.


About the Role

Sue Ryder Duchess of Kent Hospice is looking for experienced and welcoming Receptionist to join our friendly team. It is a great opportunity to use your administration skills and also provide front of house support at the Hospice. The role has lots of variety. Some Duties and responsibilities below:

• Ensure all visitors are processed according to procedure
• Receive all incoming telephone calls and transfer or take messages as appropriate
• Deal with incoming and outgoing post and deliveries
• General clerical/administration duties
• Occasional cash handling


About you

You will be a professional and well-presented team member with excellent interpersonal skills as well as proficient in the use of IT and Telephone systems.

• Excellent telephone manner and “Front of House” customer service skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• IT literate
• Highly organised and able to act on your own initiative and prioritise work load
• Experience of using SystmOne would be an advantage.
