Are you a senior finance professional looking for your next move? If so, our FP&A Finance Business Partner is a great opportunity to work alongside the Chief Commercial Officer to support, develop and deliver the retail strategy at Sue Ryder

About the role
As our FP&A Finance Business Partner, you will provide strategic financial input, insight and recommendations to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Retail Senior Leadership Team and Head of Finance, Planning and Analysis based on analysis of operational performance, economic trends & competitor landscape.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead on the preparation of the budgets, forecasts and 5 year strategic plan and assist in the preparation and review of business cases ensuring that any financial issues or concerns have been addressed or escalated to relevant personnel
• Support colleagues across the charity in developing financial awareness and driving sound financial decision making to facilitate commercially focussed outcomes
• Support in the development of improved financial reporting including the identification and reporting of key financial drivers
• Assisting the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis with the ongoing implementation of a new budgeting and forecasting system and develop improved reporting systems and processes

About you
It’s an exciting time to join Sue Ryder and to hit the ground running as our new FP&A Finance Business Partner, you will be a qualified accountant preferably with experience of being a Business Partner to an Executive Director, providing financial business insights in a complex business environment. You will have experience of business projection and analysis with the ability to reach conclusions about business performance supported by data. You will be an effective communicator and influencer with the ability to present and explain financial information to a variety of audiences including non-financial colleagues. Advanced excel and business modelling skills are essential for this role along with the ability to work to deadlines.
