About us:
St John’s Hospice is in Moggerhanger in Bedfordshire, and we provide expert care for life-limiting conditions. We’re here to help our patients and their loved ones, with everything from pain and symptom management to emotional and practical help.

About the Role:
Within this role you will work on our busy 15 bed in-patient unit providing specialist palliative care for pain and symptom management and end of life care, duties include:

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care using evidence based guidelines
• Liaise with the multidisciplinary team over service user care
• Maintain all records in line with corporate policies and procedures
• Carry out all clinical procedures in line with Sue Ryder policies
• Ensure the care team provide all care in line with the multi professional evidence based care plan

About you:
Are you an NMC registered nurse? Wanting to develop a rewarding career with a recognised national charity? If so, this is an amazing opportunity to develop your knowledge in palliative care and work across a range of palliative services.

To join our team, you’ll need:

- To be an NMC registered nurse, ideally with post-registration experience in palliative end of life care
- A compassionate and people-centred approach
- Excellent communication skills

- Nights – 20:00 to 06:00 – 30% enhancement
- Weekends – Friday midnight to Sunday Midnight – 30% enhancement
- Public/Bank holidays – 24 Hours, midnight to midnight – 60% enhancement
- 27 days holiday (pro rata) - rising to 33 with length of service plus bank holidays
