About the job
We’re looking for a Finance Systems Accountant to join our Finance team at an exciting time of change. With the integration of our new finance system (Workday), you’ll bring your finance expertise to support the Financial Controller and wider Finance team with testing, implementation and the transition to effective business-as-usual operations.
You’ll combine strong financial knowledge with systems expertise, helping to ensure our finance processes, controls, reporting and systems work effectively. You’ll play a key role in testing system functionality, validating financial data, supporting integrations and resolving issues, while identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
About you
You’ll be a finance professional with a strong understanding of finance operations, financial controls and reporting, alongside experience of working with finance systems. You’ll be analytical, organised and confident working with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
We’re particularly interested in people who can bring practical finance expertise to system testing and implementation, communicate clearly, solve problems and work collaboratively across Finance and Technology.
Minimum essential criteria
Accounting qualification, part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or qualified by experience
Relevant finance systems or technology experience
Strong knowledge of finance processes and controls
Experience of finance system configuration, user access and security roles
Experience supporting integrations, data validation and reconciliations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience supporting system testing, upgrades and release activities
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Desirable criteria
Experience administering and supporting Workday Finance
Workday certification(s)
Experience supporting finance transformation or ERP implementation programmes
Experience with finance systems integrations and reporting tools
Advanced Excel and reporting capabilities
