Be there when it matters
There has never been a more important time to provide high quality, specialist end-of-life care to support patients and their families.
About us
Manorlands is a Sue Ryder hospice, based in West Yorkshire. We’re here for people aged 18 and over living with conditions like cancer, heart failure and lung disease. We offer a range of support, from inpatient care in our 15-bed hospice to day services which help people stay at home longer. Our care is available to people living in Craven, Airedale, and Wharfedale as well as central, northern and western areas of Bradford.
About the Role
The successful applicants will play an active role within our team. It's all about giving our patients the best possible quality of life. The support we offer is tailored to meet individuals' medical, social, spiritual and emotional needs.
You will:
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care using evidence-based guidelines
• Maintain high standards of care delivery by working collaboratively within regulatory body standards and the Sue Ryder Quality Governance Policy
• Provide support, leadership appraisal and supervision to team members as appropriate
• Act as an ambassador of Sue Ryder to service users and their relatives, colleagues and members of the public
We are open to discussions regarding long and short shifts. All of our RNs are required to work internal rotation covering nights, weekends and bank holidays.
About you
You will be an NMC registered nurse, with post-registration experience. While Palliative care experience is desirable, we will accept applications from nurses of varying backgrounds with a desire to learn. You will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to work well within a team, use initiative and have excellent communication skills.

While we do not mandate the COVID-19 vaccination, we strongly encourage anyone working closely with vulnerable people to be fully vaccinated. Sue Ryder has a duty to protect those in our care and the vaccination is considered best practice to protect yourself and others from the virus.
