Demand for the specialist neurological services we provide has never been higher and we have ambitious plans for growth. We are investing in the development and expansion of our specialist care centres and you would play a key role in making the expansion of our centre in Aberdeen a reality.
Reporting to the Director of Neurological Services and Scotland, you will be responsible for delivering the smooth transition of our services across the site at Dee View Court in Aberdeen. You will provide project-based support to the Dee View Transition Team as well as supporting internal and external stakeholder management and change management at all levels – setting expectations and driving through change.
You will need to draw on your experience of leading and managing multiple work streams in order to co-ordinate teams effectively, helping them keep track of deadlines, find the most favourable option to complete the task and ensuring this is delivered to agreed budget, time and quality criteria.
As you monitor the success of your activities, you’ll take overall responsibility for project budgets, financial reporting and governance, reporting progress to the Project Board, Executive Leadership Team and Trustees as required.

The role
• Lead and manage multiple sub projects simultaneously, ensuring successful end-to-end delivery of the new centre in terms of time, cost, quality and benefits.
• Apply the agreed project management standards, processes and tools to ensure a methodical and consistent approach, including; assumptions, risk and issue registers, dependency and lessons learned logs, stakeholder communication plans, change registers, programme and project plans, gate review and financial control documents.
• Work with the sub project teams and Build Project Manager to create a clear decant schedule taking account of BAU activities and expected handover dates for each phase of the move.
• Support the Dee View Centre Director with internal and external stakeholder management and change management at all levels – setting expectations and driving through change.
About you
• Educated to degree level or equivalent, the successful candidate will possess demonstrable experience of successfully leading major projects and managing change in a large scale setting preferably in a healthcare or social care environment.
• You will also have experience of project management processes, for example budget monitoring, gateway reporting and risk management. You will have a strong leadership presence and a proven ability in delivering projects of the highest quality on schedule and within budget.
• As the Transition Project Manager, you will have experience of working as part of a cross-functional team in order to achieve objectives. You will have the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of professionals and to facilitate outcomes through working in project groups.
• An excellent team player with a flexible attitude, you will possess strong communication skills. You will be confident in interacting with both external and internal stakeholders at all levels; you will also be able to persuade others, with tact and diplomacy.
